Opening of Centro Duomo: Parking in the heart of Novara
Novara, Italy – With the opening of the new underground car park “Centro Duomo”, Best in Parking is further expanding its presence in northern Italy. Located directly next to the Bishop’s Palace and just a few steps from the cathedral, the garage offers 278 parking spaces, 247 of them on three underground levels and 31 in the outdoor area. Six EV charging stations complement the offering and provide a modern parking solution in the historic center of Novara.
With the new car park, the central square “Piazza Martiri” will soon be transformed into a pedestrian zone, allowing valuable public space to be reclaimed and enhancing the quality of life in the city center. At the same time, traffic management in the surrounding area has been reorganized: a new roundabout at Largo Bellini will ensure more efficient traffic flow and improved accessibility to the new underground garage.
The festive opening was attended by Bishop Mons. Franco Giulio Brambilla, Mayor Alessandro Canelli, and Johann Breiteneder, CEO of Best in Parking. “This infrastructure brings order, safety, and new opportunities to the heart of the city,” said Mayor Alessandro Canelli.
With the commissioning of the new garage, Best in Parking is sending a strong signal for modern, structured mobility in historic city centers. The car park is now open to visitors and offers attractive rates—especially when using the Bmove app. With Bmove, the first hour costs only €1.00, each additional hour €1.50, and the rate for up to 10 hours is €10,-.
