Construction work in Bergamo is progressing rapidly

One of the largest projects of Best in Parking AG in Italy is currently the construction of a garage in the old town of Bergamo. The project is being implemented by Bergamo Parcheggi Spa, a joint venture between Best in Parking and ATB. The Cittá Alta garage, located close to the historic centre of the city, will significantly contribute to traffic calming by eliminating parking search traffic, reducing emissions and thus improving the quality of life.

After completion of the garage with 469 parking spaces on 8 floors, the historic squares of the city centre will be traffic-calmed. The parking spaces along the city walls will be reserved exclusively for residents while visitor traffic will be directed to the new garage. 405 parking spaces are available for short-term and long-term parking, 64 spaces are sold to residents. 10 parking spaces are reserved for people with special needs. In addition, 4 electric charging stations are planned.

The garage will be covered with soil during the construction works and will allow for a parking layout. The entrance and exit of the new garage as well as the pedestrian exit are located in Via della Fara. Another pedestrian access connects the garage to the city centre via a tunnel, offering the most convenient parking option for visitors in this particularly lively part of the city.
